My Experience

Why I Created This Guide

After spending three weeks exploring the diving spots around Sipadan and Perhentian Islands, I realized that most online information was either outdated, overly commercial, or simply inaccurate. I decided to share what I actually experienced to help fellow divers plan their trips better.

This guide is based on dives completed between 2024 and 2025, staying at various resorts and working with multiple dive operators. I have no affiliations with any of the businesses mentioned here, which allows me to share honest opinions about the good and the not-so-good aspects of each destination.

Helpful Note: Sipadan requires permits that are limited to 120 divers per day. I recommend booking at least 2-3 months in advance during peak season (April to December) to secure your spots.
